We are so excited to come together for the annual Harvest Run for Sustainability on Sunday, October 15th. This event is one of the biggest fundraisers and community builders for the Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes. We invite everyone to romp through the farm fields and dirt roads of the Intervale in this family-friendly event to support place-based learning at the Sustainability Academy.
The school year has gotten off to a great start! Join us this Friday, September 8th from 3:30-5:00pm for popsicles in the SA gardens behind the school.
The 1st Summer Playground Meet-Up is coming up this weekend! Meet at the big playground in front of the school. This is a great opportunity to help your child stay connected during the summer break.
Please note that an adult should plan to stay with their child at the meet-up.
We are excited to host two exciting playground playdates this summer at the SA playground! These gatherings are a fantastic opportunity for our children to stay connected and have fun over the summer break. No childcare will be provided, so we kindly ask that you plan to accompany and supervise your students throughout these events.
Let’s celebrate a great school year! The PTO is hosting an End of Year Picnic on the SA back field and gardens. Bring yourself, your family, and a peanut-free, sesame-free dish to share if you are able. Get ready to enjoy some live music from the Stoop Jam Sittin’ Band!
The Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction was a massive success. We raised over $7,500! Many thanks to everyone who showed up to be part of the event and to all those who contributed large and small!
The Sustainability Academy’s annual Award of Service, founded in 2011, celebrates a member or group of the greater SA community for their contributions of service to the school The winner of this award is selected by the Principal and PTO leadership and is recognized by the SA community at the End of Year picnic.

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up, and we need your help making the week special for the hard working SA staff. Please sign up to bring a favorite snack, dessert, or candy to SA before noon on either Tuesday, May 9th or Friday, May 12th.
