Come watch the SA spring play!

Monday, April 17th, 5:30pm

The SA spring play performance is coming up on Monday, April 17th at 5:30pm at the ONE Center, 20 Allen St. The performance is free and open to the public.

Monarchs! is a sweet tale of Monarch butterflies migrating and bringing wonder to children in multiple countries. Come out and support all the hard work SA students have put into this production!

SA Spring Play: Monarchs!

The annual SA spring play is back, and the PTO is sponsoring it! Partnering with Very Merry Theater, we have a group of volunteers working hard to make this event happen. We could use a little help to ensure a smooth and amazing experience for our students. Please review the available volunteer opportunities and sign up using the link provided if you are able to help.

Volunteer Needs:

  • Spend 15 minutes at dismissal on Monday and/or Thursday helping walk students from SA down to the ONE Community Center.
  • Join the Stage Crew on Mondays and/or Thursdays to help them create props, choose costumes, and build sets.

Hannaford Helps Program

Now through May 27th

You can help SA raise money just by doing your grocery shopping. Right now through May 27th, when you buy 4 participating products at Hannafords, you’ll earn 3 “school dollars.” Place these in the collection tower inside the store, and they will be distributed evenly to all participating schools. You can also download the app to have your dollars go directly to SA. Find out more on the Hannaford Helps website.

Town Meeting / Election Day Bake Sale

Tuesday, March 7th

Town Meeting/Election Day is coming up on and so is our bake sale. Our November Election Day Bake Sale was very successful, and we are excited to continue this trend. The school budget and several City Council seats are on the ballot, so we anticipate good a good turn out. Please consider signing up to donate a baked goo and/or volunteer for a table shift.

Baked goods can range from savory to sweet, gluten free to vegan to anything goes, store-bought to secret family recipes. There is always a particular interest in dairy- and gluten-free items beyond Rice Krispie treats.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION THAT DAY, BUT WE WILL STILL BE HOLDING THE BAKE SALE.

If you would like to volunteer to bring baked goods or help with the table, please sign up by clicking on this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508044FA4A92AA1FC1-town1

You can drop off your baked good in the morning with a label on any plates/items you’d like to pick up later.

Thanks so much for your participation!

Successful Community Dinner!

Yesterday evening we had a FANTASTIC community dinner! This was a true community effort with so many coming together to contribute towards a truly wonderful event. Thank you to those who made food, brought supplies, set up the space, cleaned dishes, and cleaned up afterwards. It was great to see so many, many happy faces gathering together to enjoy a delicious meal!

Community Dinner

Thursday, February 16th, 6:00-7:30pm

We are excited to announce that we are bringing back the community potluck dinner! Please note that the date of this dinner differs from that on the calendar we distributed at the beginning of the year.

We need your help to make this event a success. We are looking for volunteers to help organize and set up the event and to oversee the potluck itself. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Stephen ([email protected]).

Staff Appreciation Meals

This year the PTO is providing monthly meals for the SA teachers and staff to show our gratitude for their dedication to our children. Please consider signing up to help provide a lunch. For each date, there are four slots to sign up for. This way you can work as a team to supply the food. There are ~50 staff and faculty members total. Please note that some faculty/staff are vegan, and due to allergies, please do not bring any foods with peanuts or sesame (remember that hummus and anything with tahini has sesame it it). Please plan to drop the food off at the beginning of the school day.

We still need volunteers for December 19th. You can click on this link to sign up to help.

Election Day Bake Sale

Tuesday, November 8, 7am-7pm

Election Day is coming up on November 8th, and our Bake Sale is back for the first time in a while! This fundraiser is a fun way to raise money for our school.  In order to meet our goal of raising $1000, we need help from all of you.

Please consider signing up to donate a baked good and/or volunteer for a table shift. Remember that you can count your time toward your City Market volunteer hours. Baked goods can range from savory to sweet, gluten-free to vegan. Any and all types welcome, so get out those cookbooks and get baking! In years past there was a particular interest in dairy- and gluten-free items beyond Rice Krispie treats.

If you are able to donate a baked good and/or volunteer for a shift, please sign-up by clicking on this link and noting what you will be bringing to ensure a good variety.
